I have a swan neck tow bar.

I am trying to attach a 'Staymount' stabiliser to it.

I am using an adaptor, which screws onto the swan neck.

My question is this: is it acceptable to allow the 'tongue' of the Staymount to connect in a straight line to the adaptor?

Or does this tongue need to be at 9 o'clock in relation to the Staymount?

At a guess and looking at your picture, I'd say that that type of stabiliser should be mounted at 90 degrees to the mount.

I have an "inline" stabiliser and the tongue that goes into the mount is much wider that yours.

I have had, in the past, your type and they were all mounted at 90 degrees.
