Hi  We are thinking of buying a picasso, but not sure which one to go for, we tow a pennine pullman folding camper.  Anyone got any advice please .

Hi kindy I would go for the 2.0 hdi I have one and it pulls my sprite with out any problems, plus they are very good on diesel hope this helps peter

 Just to let you know i have a mate who was going to purchase one of the these motors and out of the diesels he prefered the 1.6 motor.apparently it knocks out 110bhp and has a bigger torque curve.

I would try them both and check specs back to back.

I think if its a folding camper both will be easily enough

We tow with a 2.0 Hdi which is fine, if a bit short on torque.

The 1.6 is obviously the more powerful engine, although if you are thinking of ever buying a bigger caravan, check the towing weights, as it is lighter it obviously can't tow as much as the 2.0HDi.

Towing with our picasso, we just hang on to the lower gears a bit longer than usual up hills!!!  We love it for all the storage gizmo thingys, and the big square load area.

 hi we have a citron picasso 2ltr diesel,our caravan is only a 10ft one but we get 40-45 mpg very happy with it,

thanks for your replys, still cant make up our minds. We have a kia sedona at the moment which is great for towing but we would like something a bit smaller.
