We have just been away for the bank holiday, we always carry a spare extending mirror because we have expected one day someone would clip our mirror, and have actually witnessed this on the services last year, but this weekend someone came round a corner on the wrong side of the road, swerved to miss us but managed to swipe our wing mirror off at the root! - he didn't stop. We gathered up the pieces and faced the prospect of our recovery company taking us home, just hours after arriving. Luckily some glue and gaffer tape later (thanks to a hardware store still being open) we were able to repair the mirror and attach the caravan mirror and head home today. Very lucky that the car missed us and very lucky we could continue our break. Just when you think you carry all you need for every disaster!
