Due to my 2007 3.0 Jeep CRD being damaged a good friend lent me his 2007 Santa Fe 5 seat to take to France last year, did about 1800 miles towing a 1500kg van liked it so much that I sold the repaired Jeep when I got home and bought a 2010 Santa Fe 5 seater.
The 5 seat versions have a very large storage area under the rear floor where the extra seat goes on the 7 seater.

We,ve just returned from our first towing trip from cornwall to newbury in our 2003 santa fe 2.4 petrol and towing a 1991 lunar coachman 475/2 and got 18mpg. Whilst on the m5/m4 towing was a breeze but getting from our place to exeter and back certainly helped to mt the tank !!!Overall we loved it having had several motorhomes before love the freedom of the car (especially as we had wheel probs at Newbury). Looking forward to the next trip now.

Nice to see folk helping with the national dept. repayments. the government must love you paying all that extra fuel duty and vat

why not get a diesel saloon and get over 35 mpg towing, a skoda Fabia 1.9 tdi will tow that van

This was our first towing experience after having motorcaravans for 25yrs the last being an american rv returning 12/14 mpg. We may change rigs in the future so until I am happy with towing dont want to shell out on other vehicles(van cost £450 car £1500). We dont tow far so the fuel costs at the mo arent a problem but will be going diesel..
