Hello, just had a friend message me they just brought a caravan. Anyone recommend a towbar fitter in the Tamworth area ? Thanks.

Tow-Trust in Atherstone fit towbars but regarding the vehicle electrics it depends on how old the towcar is. If it's fairly new it will have a can-bus system which is a complex computer that functions all the electrics so the recommendation would be to have a 13 pin dedicated wiring harness fitted. Why not pay them a visit in person and speak to one of their experienced staff as they will show you different types of brackets etc. (mild steel and stainless steel components) and how they will fit the socket if you have rear parking sensors as well.

I have used CDF Towbars for about 25 years. They come out to where ever you want. I had a detachable one fitted to my Kuga a couple of weeks ago.
I can't recommend them highly enough.

Sorry for not replying been busy and only just managed to look. Originally he was to pick caravan up this Friday but now they are delivering it to him as he does not have a towbar fitted yet, so the urgency is not so bad now. I will give him the details of both replies tomorrow.
