I think things are getting a little too heated on here, and everyone needs to calm down.
MysScarlet, please accept that everyone who has commented on here has only done so in your best interests as they see it. Nobody wants to see you get into any legal trouble, or worse still get involved in a nasty accident. You must admit that even if your caravan and car are under the legal limit, they are only just under. Such an outfit may be ok in very experienced hands, but I seem to remember you saying at the beginning that you are not experienced at all with towing. I hold a B+E licence and a D+E licence, and I have considerable towing experience, towing all kinds of trailers all over the country, so I know what can happen. There are plenty of idiots on the road, and if one of them crosses your path it could be you that gets hurt. Nobody on here wants to see that.
If your outfit is legal, and you do decide to use it, take care, and I would recommend you do a towing course with a reputable outfit, such as that offered by one of the caravan clubs.
------------- Best Regards,
Colin
