I have booked to stay at a temporary campsite for the Tour de France at a village called High Bradfield in the Peak District.
Google maps is showing that the best route to take is to leave the A57 and take Mortimer Road past the Strines Inn.
Does anybody have any experience of towing along this road? I have looked on streetview and it seems narrow in places but I'm not sure if this is just the camera distorting the view.
We are coming from Burton on Trent and trying to avoid Sheffield city centre so I am thinking of getting to Hope Valley (we go there a lot so no problem) and then taking the A57 to Rivelin Valley Road and then Loxley Road all the way to High Bradfield.
Any watch out's with this route always appreciated...
Can get a bit narrow in Bamford village with parked cars and there is a tight S bend roughly halfway along rivelin valley road, watch for the speed camera, all are easily doable with care. Loxley road is straight forward
Hope it helps
