Does anyone have neat tricks or methods of lining up the back of the car with the towball.
I cheat with my V70 by opening the tailgate, putting down the rear seat and angling my rear view mirror so I can see the bottom of the load bay and line it up perfectly so I can just drop the caravan on the towball.
This is without any other help from wives etc. who don't know left from right. ;-)
I see people with huge 4x4s backing up perfectly without apparently being able to see. How???
I use the lower marker lights as a guide, having them evenly spaced when looking in my door mirrors. Then wait for the reversing sensors to let me know when I'm close enough.
Of course I could always use the motor mover
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
2 bits of tape, one on the bottom of the rear screen of the car, in line with the tow ball, and one dead centre on the van, below the front window, just use the rear view mirror and line them up. then slowly reverse until you feel a small bump on the basher plate, I have a removable basher plate fitted with a bit of foam, an old sponge stuck to it
reversing camera £14.95 from amazon i can see the towball in the bottom of the screen A1 picture, my jeep already had the input for the camera in the stereo

If you bought a decent make of car it would come with a reversing camera.

When you're driving look at what the van looks like in your interior mirror and remember it. Then make it look the same when reversing up to it. I have no aids but can get it perfect every time.
