What is the MTPLM (max weight) of the caravan? What is the kerb weight of the car? What is the towing limit of the car? Without this information we can't give you any meaningful advice so if you could get the weights and post them here we'll be able to help you.

I've just looked at the Witter website which suggests that the max tow of the Ignis is 800kg so how much does the caravan weigh?

Weight of the caravan or the year? 1994 one weighs over 1000kg so not a chance with that one.

Its around 800kg unladen.
