Hi ,I'm new to caravaning and not sure if I can use the caravan legs to level it up if I need to adjust one side to bring it up 4 inches or do I need blocks or ramps? Sorry but like I said I'm new to this and don't want to do any damage to the subframe.
Agree..get caravan level with blocks on one side, than level back to front using jockey wheel.
Then put down corner steadies, just touching the ground ..not lifting van. They are are only corner steadies not designed to support the weight of the caravan off the ground.
------------- It is a wise man who has something to say.
It is a fool who has to say something.
With the aid of a spirit level I use the jockey wheel to level the caravan front to back and a levelling ramp if the van needs levelling side to side. The ramps are not dear to buy and are readily available. Not sure what make mine are but they are yellow!
I only lower the corner steadies once I'm happy that the van is level. Using the steadies (legs) to level the van could damage it.
The corner steadies are fixed to the caravan floor and not the chassis so any excess pressure such as jacking up will eventually cause extensive damage. You have to level side to side by the use of ramps and then level front to back by the use of the jockey wheel. The corner steadies are exactly why they are called that, just to steady and eliminate any rocking when you walk about inside the caravan.

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Those ramps are identical to min which also have a pair of matching chocks as well that slot onto the ribs to trap the caravan tyre for safety to stop it from rolling backwards.

You will certainly damage the floor if you use the stays for jacking the caravan.
During my search for a caravan some years ago I came across one with a big hole in the floor and the stay hanging loosely on the debris...and the potential seller didn't even think to tell me
Sorry checked Towsure, not surprisingly they only sell them in, wait for it, quelle surprise, pairs.
Oh and a pair can be handy for a 'vanner if they do not have wooden blocks or such like for the steadies.

This is really interesting OH always uses the yellow ramp but when you look rounds sites very few seem to, you see caravans with 3 or 4 blocks under the steadies - sites even supply bricks - when we use the ramp I keep expecting someone to come and say they are for motorhomes not caravans - I will use it with confidence next time !!

The yellow ramps are designed to go under the wheel. 2 will lock together for more lift. They will also lock to chock the wheel in place.
Use them under the corner steadies if you want but blocks/bricks do just as well.
Arriving on site tow the van on to the ramps to achieve a level position sideways.
apply the brake & chock the ramped wheel. Unhitch and use the jockey wheel to achieve a level position lengthways.
lower the steadies using blocks on soft ground.
