We are taking our trailer (for the first time) away with us, I just wondered is there anything we can buy so the trailer is locked to the towbar, so when we are parked in a car park etc no one can just unhitch the trailer and go off with it?

loads on e bay just type in bulldog mini hitch lock.
if you buy one make sure it has the flat plate with the welded on loop.
It can be used when the trailer is hitched or unhitched

We use one of these. Don't travel with it fitted just slip it on when you park.

Most hitch locks can be used to lock trailer to car. Do you already have a hitch lock that you use when trailer is parked? If so try it with trailer hitched to car, it will probably fit.

I also have an SAS hitch lock as per Dodge's message. Gives extra piece of mind at service stations.

I just use a chain & padlock through the A frame and secured on the towbar.

Bradley Triplelock head, or big noisy rattly chain and good padlock.

Don't forget that undoing the two towball bolts will release the trailer from the car.
