Hi, we are all new to caravanning and currently looking for our first van.
Our car is a Citroen c4 grand Picasso 59 plate, 1.6 diesel automatic. In the book it says max towing wight of 1100kg, does anyone have any advice regarding this I.e experience etc....
Kerbweight is around 1500kg, I think but check this. So it will be safe to tow up to max tow weight 1100kg but at this weight with 1.6diesel 110bhp you will be a bit slow uphill.
Will only need a B licence to tow a caravan of 1100 MTPLM with that vehicle
which one of these models is it? = http://carleasingmadesimple.com/business-car-leasing/citroen/grand-c4-picasso/gross-vehicle-weight/
I ask because it seems many have a towing capacity of 1500 kg and a kerb weight of 1320 kg
Perhaps finding the weight plate on your car which is usually hidden under the bonnet or in a door frame and giving us the top two of the four figures will clear things up
