Wibsey a lot of good information on the Vauxhall antara forum, join it for free and you can post questions and answers, as said ours pulls like a train, only had for 6months but apart from clunky gearbox more than happy with the car, ours is a 61 plate exclusive 2.2cdti
We have a 13 plate AWD Antara. It's a2.2 diesel. We get around 45 mpg solo and just under 30mpg towing.
Tows as though nothing there and solo, well I'm a boy racer in a twin set and I love it. Might be a bit slow at pulling off but once you get going it's very responsive, flies up the hills!
Love the way people pull over on the motorway, maybe I should wash the yellow stripe off though!!!!!!

Don't want to upset the OP, but I've read bad things about the Antara, something to do with recycling/recirculating, something to do with the exhaust particulate filter I think. The power drops and the fuel comsumption rises dramatically!!
Yes there is regeneration every 500 miles and the fuel consunption drops for a short while. But we still get the averages I stated so I'm happy with that.
Also of note is that the Antara that was reviewed had a different engine from the 63 plate but the reviews have not been updated.

Issym have to admit, it was seing your Antara in your pictures that helped with the decision
Having had it a few days, I can report it is giving around 30mpg around town at the moment, and I love the driving position, also don't seem to suffer from as many people pulling out on me, it would appear my ford KA may have had a cloak of invisibility!
I have read about the regens. On the Antara forum and spoke to my mechanic he said nearly all diesels do it, but most people don't realise.
