Cheers Screen2, shame you cant get the 115 bhp tepee/multispace with that box, theres alot about thats been used on the mobility scheme without many miles on, one of them might have done me, i think HP more importent to me than an auto box for towing, just want to be sure i have all the info i can get before buying, thanks.
Screen2 do you know what year they started fitting DPF on the 110, i was told last night that towing with one of these fitted can increase the liklyhood of blocking the filter, is this true.
The 110 had dpf fitted from introduction in 2008 other models from about 2010. Towing will not increase likelihood of blocking. Citroen/Peugeot do not really have problems with dpf. Car needs only 10miles non stop at 50mph occasionally to regenerate dpf.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

not quite correct. what is really required is 2500 rpm so you may need to stay in 4th gear for the regen to work

Do you have any direct experience of Dv6 diesels? They have Eloys fluid injection into Dpf & are generally trouble free. The engine does not even rev at 2500rpm at 70mph in 5th.
These Dpf 'problems' are generally a myth, usually traced to an actual fault. Cars do not need 'thrashing' to regenerate, just 50mph down dual carriageway for a few miles will be sufficient. Renault/Nissan were problematic a few yrs ago but unless car is driven only within a 30mph speed limit & never gets on the open road at all you will not have any problem.
Not DV6 but I do have a 2.2 C5HDI which intermittently requires a Regeneration run due to "Diesel filter blocked)&/or(anti pollution fault)messages to clear the DPF It also uses eloys fluid .In order to initiate a Regeneration which requires a tempeture of 600deg in the DPF filter you need to run at 2500 + rpm for 10 / 15 miles in order to do that at 60mph I need to stay in 4th gear
at 70 mph the engine is just over 2000rpm in 5th & does not generate sufficient heat to burn off the soot deposits
How old is it & how many miles? Older Cits had different design Dpf, improvements have been made over last few yrs & nothing lasts forever. Dpf probs of a few yrs ago have been eliminated now by better design. If a car won't regenerate in normal open rd driving then there is a fault somewhere.
