I had an E320 CDI for a couple of years - what a towcar :) Even with the van on the back it would out-accelerate most other cars on the road away from the lights..... Seriously - an affortless towcar - one point to watch out for - get the coil springs checked out before buying - they are renowned for breaking them - I had some replaced under warranty and those also failed within 18 months. If you are going for the "sport version" these can ride a little low so you may want to consider fitting normal height springs to make the van a little more level. If the car has an AMG body kit there are only a very few towbars that will fit - bitter experience.... Treat it gentle and you'll get 40MPG solo and 25 towing - not too bad for such a car....
