Good afternoon
I have a Trigano 575TC 2007.
We struggle to get it in and out of our garage so are looking to purchase a mover of some kind. I have contacted various mover companies and they are nt able to fit one to my unit
I have found on internet the Camper trolley at £900 or a motorised jockey wheel from Germany for £280 inc free delivery.
What mover would suit as i only have less than 15mm either side in the garage
There is a slight incline up to the garage.
The jockey wheel movers may struggle for traction.
Is the camper trolley the one with tank tracks? Seems they have the same issue the guy on their video had to stand on the A-frame at one point and then the clip jumps, so i assume it couldnt get up the obstacle properly.
Ive seen movers fitted to trailer tents and campers before, Whats the issue with fitting one to yours?
Mainly to do with the chassis. Not enough clearance.
We only got Trigano last year and don t want to be put off going away for weekends . We had a Combi camp Panda before this and i could get it in and out myself.
There must be something out there surely.
What about using a winch attached to the back wall of your garage and attach the cable either to front or back of your trailer, can be used to pull the trailer up and into the garage or ease it back down to the road.
The drive is next to the garage which is at the back of our house. Its a service road with not much room for manoevering hence trying to get something to assist us. A winch would nt help me much as only got access through main garage door.
We only noticed the minor incline when we got this camper. Its so frustrating being only 950kg max.
If its a grippy driveway surface and you dont mind sitting on the A-frame or similar then a jockey wheel type mover may do the job. I wouldnt spend much on one though in case it doesnt work.
I wouldnt spend £900 on one.
My enduro was the best thing we bought for the van.
Regarding the "tank track" type of trolley, we watched one being used on a site in France. The roadway was of fine, loose gravel - like pea gravel but probably finer.
The guy was reversing his van onto a grass pitch and, when the van wheels got onto the grass, the trolley's tank tracks started to slip and scrabble all over the place on the gravel. Don't know how it would behave on the coarser gravel we find on C.C. sites.
Bertie.
We had a Trigano Silver caravan for 5 years. That had a very low chassis, but the motor mover never hit anything. We took it on ferries and through the Channel Tunnel without problems. The mover (Powrtouch) required special brackets to fit the special low ALKO chassis.
