If your caravan weighs less than 1500kg then it will tow it safely and superbly. If it weighs substantially more then whilst there is a good chance it would tow it then I personally would be a little bit reluctant to do so.
On a related thought if your license is dated after 01/01/1997 then if your caravan has a plated weight greater than 1375kg then your licence would not allow you to tow it as the combined max allowable weight would be greater than 3500kg.
I tow a 1450kg Hymer with my 12 plate Mondeo

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
I somehow guess the op has no idea of the caravan weight & needs to find out what it is. Are your sure its 2006? I thought that caravan was more like around yr 2000, but I could be wrong. Anyway figure I have is 1230 mtplm, that is max loaded weight of caravan which your Mondeo will tow ok with a match of under 85%.
However you need to check figure from actual caravan you have or are considering buying.

Look for caravans under about a max of 1300kg mtplm, that is maximum loaded weight. You have plenty of choice.
Where did you pull the 1300kg figure from, 1432kg would be 85%, of his car and at that level the Mondeo will not notice it is there, I earlier suggested 1500kg or thereabouts would be a usable limit to work to, but an even larger figure would not particularly be amiss given a 1685kg kerbeeight.

Ok then the Op's Mondeo will tow that van as well if not better than any other car. Which was what I meant in my previous post
