The kerbweight of our manual 2008 aventura explorer 2.0 173bhp diesel is around 1750 kg, its the towing limit thats 2000 kg this just means the engine can cope with that much but it wouldnt be legal as you cant tow a van heavier than the kerbweight , the one you are looking to buy will be no more than 1750 kg but it will have no problem towing your caravan as its well below the kerbweight. We tow a 1600 kg caravan with ours no problem.

Im purchasing a Nissan X-trail Aventura dci 2.0 diesel 2009. Theres so many models I don't know what weights to go by ? and my caravan is a Bailey Ranger 510/4 2002 MIRO 992kg MTPLM 1215 how do I work it out ahhhh.
just wondering if someone can give me some info ,im sorry if these weights are wrong but this is whats stated in handbook.

Still several GOV sites listing the trailer must weigh less than the tow vehicle.

The new pages even state that this is the case for those that passed between 1997 and 2013 where it was removed again.
