I have recently started my journey in the world of caravanning with a second-hand Abi Award Nightstar 5 Berth Twin axle van circa 1998 but although I know the various all up weight etc.... yet I cannot find the towing nose weight anywhere and having had one episode of the van waggling my Landrover disco 1 V8 due to poor/inexperienced loading, also what tyre pressures should I have on the van? any help would be greatly appreciated!
If you know the all up weight then go for at least 7% of that for noseweight, ie 1 tonne=70kg noseweight. Your car has towbar weight limit well over 100kg I think so you will have no probs getting front of caravan heavy enough for stable tow.
He best way of looking up your tyre pressures is to find the data badge for your car. These are usually in the drivers door jam somewhere and will give tyre pressures when fully loaded. Use these figures.
