I think that you maybe going in the right direction here
(says he with an 18 momth old Tiguan).
The new Kuga is bigger than mine and the choice of the 150ps or 180ps diesel engines looks very good on paper.
Our old Mondeo estate had to be repaired twice on the rear corners due my reversing problems and its sheer length (had rear parking sensors but my reactions seemed to be too slow).
If you don't need the size and you are into Ford then the choice of Kuga looks good, give it a try.
