Considering changing my Terracan for a (choice of two)Mitsubishi Shogun,or a Kia Sorento, done as much research as I can,and find both competent towers and good value, but both have negative points, does anyone have one of either.
Any info'gratefully received, although I am leaning towards the Shogun, simply because of the bigger engine.
Not really interested in any other make
Like you said, both very good towcars
i towed a twin axle for 6 years with an automatic Sorento
without any problems
Both very good towcars, once you have test driven both of them you will know the one you want
As I have an auto 03' Elegance model - leather sat nav (disc damaged so doesn't work, but not bothered about that), air con / climate and a sunroof etc.
FIL has a Sorento. Been in it a few times, but find it very 'plasticky'??
Both have their own problems, mine had a few when I bought it, but I joined 'POCUK.com', which saved me a few £££ not going to a garage for simple repairs.
The Sorento's, not sure which ones, suffer a 'delaminated fuel tank lining. That I do know of.
Thanks for the replies,I am looking at a 04 LWB Shogun elegance(3.2 diesel auto)and a 06 Sorento XSE diesel auto as you suggest,I will try for a trial run.
Currently in Australia touring in a rented motorhome, lots of Shoguns called Pajeros here. All fitted with roo bars and snorkels.
They tow some big vans. Toyota Land Cruisers and pickups are very popular too.
We are on our third Sorento all have been excellent forvtowing and reliability.
