Hi all. i am thinking of changing my car, but i am undecided which to go for so a liittle help needed. right 1st car Nissan Xtrail 2.2 dci [N2 Hyundi Santafe 2.2 dci} or

N3 Land Rover FreeLander 2.2 dci Dose Anyone drive one of these to give me some pointers. i do like the XTrail & Santafe cheers.Dave.

Depending on year of manufacture...

I'd have the Santa Fe.

Freelander - Paying for the name and as said, depending on YOM, reliability issues.....

X-Trail - Not sure which engine, but one has I think turbo / engine issues.

Santa Fe - People seem to rate them, like the Kia...

I towed with a Land Rover, Freelander 2.2 from Aberdeen to Blackpool and Manchester and back.

Towed well and I have no problems at all. It was an 09 plate.

Solid car also, nothing went wrong in the 1.5 years I had it.

️X trail engines aware chocolate! L/Rs are tow machines but the Santa fe is a lovely car as is the ix35, maybe I'm biased given that I own an i800!

Thanks Guys, but i may have to go with a new one a chevolette Captiva ,as the towing weight out does the others, i have a Avondale dart  5-10 only weighs 1095kg but may change later to something a bit more weight may be up to 1500 kg and the santafe and XTrail only pulls upto 1425 kg 85% rule.Cheers anyway but i still like the Hyundi santafe.???

The Santa Fe has a kerb weight of almost 2 tonne and a tow ball limit of 100kg. It should tow a van with an MTPLM of 1£00kg at 85%. I'm referring to the latest model. The older models are even heavier.

As such you'll be more than fine going up to 1500kg.

After a lot of research,I'm changing my Terracan for a 07 Sorento,looked at others but it looks good vfm and has good towing reviews

I have Santa Fe. Great tow car,Self level suspension , 6 seats auto and lots of tricks.5 year warranty.

My previous car was a 10 plate santa fe 7 seater manual. 85% of the kerbweight was 1667kg. Not sure why I am sad enough to remember that!!!

We have an 2011 Santa Fe manual towing a van 1550k, very smooth car towing and solo, thought about changing last year bur decided to keep it.

Choosing a Captiva rather than a Santa Fe?? I take it your joking?

You doubt a Santa Fe can cope with 1500kg? I'm seriously considering buying one to tow my 1800kg Conqueror.
