You maybe lucky and find that the vehicle was originaly ordered prepped for towbar, if so this means that the electrics will be already part installed, which will save you around £130.
Dedicated electrics will disable Stop/Start if fitted, but only when towing, along with disabling rear parking sensors, the Trailer will also be intergrated with the car's alarm, being a VW the cockpit display will show an image of a Trailer confirming that your car's management system is making the nessacery adjustments for towing.
