My new to me tow car, 2007 vectra. First outing with the van using this tow car at Easter and I struggled to put my towing mirrors on the car. The gap between the lens and the mirror casing is so small you can't get the pads etc in. I managed by tilting the car mirror fully down which increased the gap making it just possible to fit. I like to use my car mirrors also when towing but couldn't because they were pointing towards the ground.
The vectra was a popular tow car, can any owners suggest a mirror that fits well please?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I just use the cheap weekend mirrors and find them find at £15 a pair and the car mirrors work well I do set them so I can see the corners off the caravan to get good vision
I've had two Vectras, they do make mirrors specifically for them but at a high cost,I plumped for suck it and see mirrors, and like them so much I use them on my current tow car
Can't remember the make of my current mirrors, bought them for about £25 from a caravan shop, they aren't a proper brand like Milenco. I do like the idea of suck n see but they are very small. Being adjustable from inside car is a big bonus. The vectra mirror casing is poor and quite fragile so suck n see might be the answer.
I used suck it and see on my V70 and they did the job well. That was until the continual buffeting dislodged the original mirror from it's housing. Whether this was due to poor adhesive on the original mirror, don't know. Changed to other type after that.
