Hi I'm in a bit of a dilemma I have a company lease car which is going to be changed in four months not really worth having a new tow bar put onto this vehicle. It will cost me £350 plus vat as I need to get fitted by approved fitter. I want to go away end of June and require a vehicle with a tow bar to hire. Any advice I've looked into hiring and it's really expensive does anyone know any cheaper options?

Are you allowed to temporarily swap cars with a collegue? One who may have a tow bar fitted?

I know we are at our company and I have swapped for a holiday in the past so someone could make use of my tow bar.

Hi
My colleague has a tow bar fitted but he uses it for a trailer and typically needs it that very weekend of our return.

I have no restrictions to my license all classes available. It's full clean and 22 years no claims

I am in a panic now.....

I have had a few quotes for a towing vehicle and are coming back about £100 per day.

Does anyone know any other options for a towing vehicle?

I need it 26th June - 5th July to take a caravan down to Cornwall

Looks like having the towbar fitted is the cheaper option, unless you can find a cheaper way.

can you not come back a day earlier so you can swap with your workmate ?? seams the best option to me or even change your dates to suit ??

Finally convinced my colleague at work to give me his car :)

I am also wondering about getting an AL-KO AKS 1300 hitch, he has a Thule towbar fitted. Are they good bits of kit to help stability and safety?

It's an aid, if the outfit is unstable it will not make it stable. Correct loading is paramount.
