If the towbar is a swan neck or detachable then there wont be any issues, If its a fixed flange then you may need to swap the ball.
Are they worth it, depends on why you want to fit one.
Correct loading the correct towcar with decent tyres at the correct pressures is all most people need.
Ive towed caravans well in excess of the UK speed limits, no not on the public roads. I got paid to do it.
