A wasteful but simple way to clean windows if not using a cover ( that doesn't scratch windows) is soak kitchen towel and leave on window for at least 15 minutes then gently remove (don't rub you wont need to ), all bugs, blood and bits come off easily
all traces disappear even of well splattered bugs
( did an amazing job of swarm of gnats at 110 on a motorbike visor all gone in 15 minutes soak, after 3 hrs more riding in sun)
you can do the same with an old towel, not so wasteful as you can wash it when you get back.
