Hi
Does anyone have a good route for towing from Stroud to Weymouth? Not sure if we should go the "long way" on the M5 or what. Is the A46/ A38 route ok for caravans?

Don't want to get in a pickle on narrow roads through town centres....
we are leaving at 4 mid week.

When I go down to Weymouth as l keep my Caravan near M5 J13 l go down M5 to J 25 A358 then A 303 to Yeovil A37 then at Dorchester A354

I follow kenles on the same route, it's fairly kerfuffle free. Are you leaving at 4pm or 4am? If it's 4pm it'll be busy around Bristol (it's busy there all day long) but after J21 it's usually fine.

Easy route round Yeovil just do not go into it, can be hectic.

It will be 4pm so I suspect I will hit the traffic at Bristol. According to Michelin website the motorway route is 30 miles more than the A46/38 route so that was why I thought it worth asking...

Motorway is a lot quicker than using the A 46 then going on A37
