does anyone know if a BMW 325i se touring will pull a 4-berth caravan ok,sorry but new to this.

I would think that your car is powerfull enough. But what is important is the weight of the caravan a 4 berth can range from under a 1000kg to over 1700kg depending on make. You also need to find out what the kerbside weight of your car is and check the manual to see what the manufactures max tow weight is. This might be less than the 85% guideline. Theres a rule of thumb that you try and aim for a caravan no more than 85% of the cars kerbside weight. This is not a law but a guideline.

try "whattowcar.com" you can put in the details of your car against various weights and types of caravans,it is very good and shows you how the car will perform through the gears ,hills and hill starts, someone may post you a link
