Without doubt the car driver is at fault in the video with the lorry pulling away from a set of traffic lights. Tried to race the truck and list. Silly man.

And it isn't even a 4x4!

So the truck driver was't equally at fault for trying to race the car then? The accident occured because neither of them would back off. I will assume those who disagree think its ok to put your foot down while being overtaken?

Don't think the truck drivet was actually racing. I would say the car driver should have backed off. You don't know if the car was stationary at the lights or approached the lights when they were at green and was trying to be smart and overtake the truck and miss judged the distance to the merge. Truck driver doesn't look to have been off to a flying start.

Caravan came from behind as another car was outside the lorry at the lights and passes early and fine

Last clip made me laugh - what was that!

Scary one of the caravan developing a snake - you can see it go past the point of no return

I used to be a truck driver so I know what truck drivers are like.


On the thread on trucknet forum most drivers agree that the accidents were avoidable, but they know what truck drivers are like as well...
