Hi Everyone
I have owned a 2005 Kia Sorento XS Auto 2.5 CRDi for some 10 years. It is a great Tow Car. Having read the Threads on this site (which appear to be few) I feel it would be helpful to other owners to provide you with a link to my Home Forum which specialises in all Kia Sorentos 2002 onwards.
Current Headlines from the Forum are:
- Membership Benefits
- Problems being rectified Free by Kia
- Problem with the new 2010 onwards Sorento Clutch
- Campaigns
- A new Board, specifically for Forum ‘Membership Feedback, Improvement Suggestions etc.’
Here is a link to my Home Forum, UKSorento: http://kiasorento.proboards.com/

This is a NEWSLETTER which identifies some current problems and campaigns in the UK which may be of interest/help to Sorento owners. Although we are smaller at ~8000 members, we do focus on the Sorento only and have a Worldwide Membership.
I hope that UKCampsite Members find this helpful.
We have an o4 model, it had delamination of the fuel tank, ( A known problem ),I was quoted 1000 for a replacement, after a bit of research I contacted Kia and they replaced the fuel tank for free, very pleased as a good tow car :)
Hi bogwort47.
Kia did them at the same time as the tank, They were very good, you hear so many stories about poor after sales, but Kia are great, once you talk to them. I was very pleased as could have just paid to have the work done, After all its an old car,the joy of the net !!! lol
As might be expected the situation is getting worse with the rear axle bracket corrosion - well over 1/2 of Sorentos now need new brackets and some owners are having to wait 12 weeks because of bracket supply problems.
All the latest news is here: http://kiasorento.proboards.com/thread/11187/contd-poll-extent-rear-corrosion?page=19

I am a retired aerospace engineer who is a volunteer moderator on an independent owners forum for the Kia Sorento. I have run a Kia Sorento 2.5CRDi Auto XS since it was less than 2 months old and currently tow a Lunar Saros SI.
The Forum has no connection with Kia. No one knows everything and we just hope that by sharing we are stronger.
Hi, Bogwart, I am a retired AMLE.so we are of the same trade. . With a 2014
SANTA FE. do any of the new Sorentos have a problem with the Witter fixed tow bars. They tend to drop and are 1.5 inches longer than recomended from middle of rear axel to tow hitxh. Same Sorento has same tow baras Sorento. According to witter.
