I have a Bailey Ranger which needs its tyres replacing. They are 195/70R14 96N tyres.
I have been quoted for Cheng Shin Trailermaxx tyres and Maxis Trainermaxx tyres. The Maxxis are more expensive.
I know that both tyres are made by the same company, so does anyone know whether these are identical tyres, with the Maxis name along making them more expensive or whether the Maxxis are better quality.
I have the Maxxis on my caravan and they are fine. As long as the load index and size are correct I would have been quite happy to fit the Trailermax tyres on the caravan. I very much doubt that you would ever notice any difference between the two in use.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
I think it is correct you can change that size to 185/80x14C van tyres which gives you a much wider choice of brands including premium. Different brand tyres of different prices made by same company can contain different rubber mixes.
Thanks for all your comments. I did phone the tyre company recommended by Bailey, and they too said that if I get the 185 that it might interfere with the motor mover working effectively. Following their advice, I have therefore arranged for Cheng Shin Trailermaxx 195/70R14 96N tyres to be fitted, which are the same tyres as are on the van at the moment.
