A bit more practise and you'll be able to get it in one without going up the kerb

Hi peter i had a front towbar for a couple of years before going onto a seasonal pitch and without doubt it was the best bit of kit i have ever bought.
if anyone is interested watling towbars make them for a large selection of cars.

Front towbar is of use to park a trailer with pivoted front axle as double pivot can make reversing tricky. The old wagon & drags at United Carriers were thus yrs ago. The Daf trucks were fitted with a coupling on the front as well but it's fair to say the experienced drivers were able to reverse the trailers onto the bays without detatching & coupling to front end of truck.

I can't see the point of a front towbar for a standard caravan though as it's not hard to reverse with single pivot.

There is one episode where No2 son gets knocked over the neighbour's wall by the drawbar, that was hilarious, to us anyway!

We bought a front towbar because of the slope of the drive. The rear steadies ground with the normal towball height but we were able to lower the front towball so the van would go back without grounding.

hi Peter great videos second one very funny.
what i liked about my front tow bare was it was offset to the left of the car so you could see right down the side of the caravan to see ehere you where going
you are almost there with shareing the link
I take it you have copied the link above from you tube.
if it helps others this is how you do it
play the you tube video
under the video you will see, Add to) (share) (***more)
click on (SHARE)
In a box underneath a code appears.
if you can not see the box scroll down a bit
Right click the code box
When the options open click copy
Go back to your post
At the top of your post there are 5 icons.
click the third icon from the left
Another box opens
type a name for your video and click ok
Another box opens
right click click this box and click paste
your video code will then be in this box
click ok
your video should now be in your post

sounds complicated but its very easy, just a few clicks and its done
