We had our citroen van remapped and our insurance company refused to insure it. It did make a difference to performance when towing. The expensive insurance wasn't worth it!!

I fitted a RonBox to my Kia Sedona 2.9 CRDi its very easy to fit no skill required and takes 5<10 mins

The box has 10 setting to vary power and torque including off

It can be difficult to notice the difference between settings but myself I leave it on max power n torque as the car is transformed into something much more lively without effecting fuel consumption ... The only issue is the engine management light comes on, on hard acceleration this is due to the air flow maxing out. However there is a new version out which corrects this

I got a similar box for my Kia magnetis , got it from energy tuning ltd , I have mine on the maximum settings for both power and tourqe, it's made a real difference to my car in performance and better on fuel, I've had mine fitted for nearly 3yrs and no problems at mot time and no problems with dashboard lights. Insurance company where fine when I I informed them and didn't make any difference to premium, I also fitted MAD suspension and no extra charge for that, I'm with admiral and have a multi car policy

I have had my 2.2 tdci mondeo estate mapped from 175 to 224 bhp and torque from 400 to 475. I get slightly better fuel economy than when it was standard when towing but noticeable difference in power. I find that sixth gear is now a better suited on the motorway than it was before.
Was done by an agent of superchips and cost £350. Hastings direct charged an extra £28 annually as an increase in premium.

had my Vectra 1.9 cdti remapped from 150bhp to 180bhp and torque from 320 to 375 nm, could have gone for 200bhp and nearly 400 nm of torque but decided not to, the difference is night and day, hills on motorways are no issues now and haven't found one to slow me down yet whilst towing (obviously within the limit) day to day driving is much better but I have found no difference in fuel economy.

Personally I would get it done, it is the best £175 iv ever spent on a car

I had a plug in fitted yes certainly boosted the power but because basically all it did was increase the fuel in the common rail it also made it more smokey so returned it had the engine remapped increased bhp from 120 to 150 lots more power better economy as well and sailed through the mot emissions the engine by the way is a fiat 2.3 120 multijet as far as insurance goes the plug in was classed as a modification but the re map isn't
