I used to get that.I removed it with wd40 or a tin of cheap lighter fuel.I bought a tail piece for my exhaust which instead of the gasses coming straight out their blown onto the road.

Sounds like the dpf has been removed. Ensure it is not obvious to mot tester.

maybe not,could be black water/moisture coming out with the gas

If dpf is fitted then exhaust is clean, look at tail pipe of any modern diesel car, it is clean not soot covered as on older diesels. If exhaust is leaving a heavy sooty deposit not a few odd spatters over back of caravan then dpf has been removed.
There was an earlier thread about exact same problem with an Antara which is same car different badge & poster admitted dpf had been removed. Apparently a common solution to common problem with this car. Usual idea is to remove inside of dpf but leave exhaust as is to keep mot tester happy provided he is fooled by it.
It would be unfortunate though if op had bought car without knowing dpf had been removed as may cause mot probs in future. Depends on who tests it.

If it was never fitted with a dpf then obviously it will pass mot. In 2014 mot testers were told to fail cars that were fitted with dpf & then had been removed. As to whether one can get away with dpf casing in place but internals removed...the argument rages on.
It is not possible to test Co2 emissions during mot test only smoke.

Sort out why its chucking out enough black soot to do that and after cleaning the caravan give it a good coat of a decent wax.
Can you fit an extension piece to the exhaust to deflect the gas downwards?

Several of these available in different sizes and attachment methods.
