After much thought and looking at keeping my Volvo v50 as a towcar, or swapping it, I decided to swap it. (See previous posts) I ended up going for a Citroen c5 2.2 diesel tourer. Had it a week and so far really pleased with it. Appreciate they are not everyone's cup of tea and not the kind I would go for as a day to day run around, but at least I won't have to worry to much about the weights etc for our caravan. Tried my standard maypole towing Mirrors onto it today and found they don't fit to good, as the mirrors on the c5 or a funny shape. My worry is that the mirrors move on their own if put into reverse so don't want to damage any mechanisms. Anyone tow with a c5 tourer? What kind of mirrors are suitable for this kind of mirror??
Another in agreement with the Milenco Grand Aero as well. If the curve at the top of the door mirror proves awkward you can always clamp these towing mirrors on the bottom edge. Just fit the two clamps furthest away from each other as possible to eliminate any vibration.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Mentioned this before, I had these on a mk 3 mondeo they fit great but was like looking through a heat shimmer. Tried the clamps in various positions but no great improvement, guest it was down to weak springs in the car mirrors.

Are these the best ones to go for in people's opinions?
Certainly the best ones in my opinion.

Every time a thread comes up with choice of towing mirrors, the Milenco Grand Aero always gets the best vote. If you do a search for other threads on this topic you can see the feedback for yourself.
yes we have the Milenco's. and I think there is enough room above the clamps for the mirror to move down and in when you go into reverse. there is on our car anyhow
