We currently tow at 79% of our kerb weight but my husband has his eye on a new van which would put us at 88%.
I am just wondering how different this will feel to tow, providing we load it correctly. Is there likely to be a very noticeable difference? I am more interested in stability rather than speed as we are never in a rush to get anywhere and are usually quite happy to just trundle along at about 50. However, if it is going to move about considerably more and feel less stable, then that would concern me.
I tow at 92% and never had any problems with stability. I do ensure that my big bag of clothes for a trip away and the awning travel in the car rather than the caravan. I try and keep the van nearer the MIRO rather than the MLTPM.
We tow at 100% with no issue in stability. Our old van was 83% and we only really notice it when on large hills. The new van is a twin axle which I feel are more stable.
