Hi All ,
I am considering buying a new "camper" sat nav.I know you can enter your towing measurements ,but will it still take me down single track roads ect like my TT does or does it automatically avoid?
Thanks in advance GCB
sat nav's designed for motor homes & caravans should once you have entered the dimensions avoid narrow roads ,low bridges ect by keeping you to main roads & motorways
their other advantage is they have usually got ACSI camp sites included

I bought last year model with free traffic and maps for life, it's a good unit with a 7 " screen, I was tempted to buy this years model but couldn't justify it, if it had been Tom toms version I'd of bought it straight away as I think tomtoms traffic is better than garmins
They do try and avoid obstructions but the software isnt infallible and can get undone by combinations - for example a tight corner which is passable close to an archway which is passable. because they are both passable the satnav thinks its ok but because they are close together a caravan can't pass.
CoPilot for smart phones has a leisure vehicle setting. I used it for the whole of last year without any problems. One or two of the routes were quite tricky but it took the towing friendly route each time.

I have CoPIlot Premium HD Europe and I have it on an iPhone 5s for use in the car and on a iPad for planning.
