Is the Picasso manual or auto? What year is it? What's the weight (MTPLM) of the caravan? We need more information to give a meaningful reply.

PS Towing weights should be in the car handbook and V5 and the weight plate of the car will show the max weight of the car and the gross train weight.

Make sure the caravan is not to close to your max towing capacity as you will then put all your pruck and kit in the van and substantially increase its weight.

If you have never towed before I would recommend getting a lesson or two from a trailer training company, explain your situation and hopefully they will not have a silly car and small trailer to train you in. You want to take a lesson or two in a combo with a substantial trailer. This is not a requirement but a common sense idea.
