Can anyone help, When I put my fog light on, my reverse light works and when I select reverse, the light goes out, I appreciate any advise

Hi sorry, I have the light faults on the caravan when I put the car in reverse or switch on the fog light

I'd check the plugs, sockets and cable for damage, dirt, corrosion etc and give them a good spray with WD40, otherwise check the individual cables haven't been miswired or poorly connected by a previous owner, possibly?

If you have two plugs, the fog and reverse lights shouldn't even be on the same plug. Sounds like a bad earth connection on the lamp to me.

Was it previously working ok & fault has just developed? If so suspect poor earth probably due to corroded wiring in any of the plugs/sockets connecting caravan to car.

If any of the plugs/sockets have been recently rewired it's possible wiring has been incorrectly connected inside plus or sockets.
