Anybody recommend a particular tyre for wet grass, had problems getting off the parking area at a carboot bank holiday Monday. Rear wheel drive lightly loaded van (Hyundai iload)
Drove on ok but leaving I had to stop to join the main traffic and that was it, (big thanks to the guys who gave me a push)
Bit concerned as I want to try grass pitches this year, and thinking rear wheel drive would be better for towing.
I guess I'll need a few bags of ballast in the back.
hi. i have falken eurowinter hs437 tyres bought from mytyres.com on the back of my hyundai i800. i run them year round never had an issue pulling my 1800kgs caravan
Use them at other times of year they won't last two minutes and they're REALLY noisy - even worse when you corner / turn even 'slightly'!
You must be looking at 'all season' tyres which by the looks of it the Crossclimate are that (all season), they're 'directional' so maybe not very good on grass etc too...
And they're made by 'mega bucks' Michelin too, hence the price...
Have you considered Avon tyres? I've had their 'standard' tyres before and they've been great in the wet.
Boss has GT Radials on his Vivaro van at work and with being a farmer, he goes over stubble and grass no problem...

absolute rubbish, i have vredstien winter directional tyres on my renault master service van all year round as i am in mud and coal every week, they are on the front and done 40000 miles and still at 6mm tread depth, they are very quite tyre no road noise and no handling problems.
