Help
my car has daytime running lights as standard, but when i plug my caravan into the socket it also puts the caravan light on permenant too. this didnt happen on my previous which didnt have drls

HELP

My car has daytime running lights too and the caravan road lights also illuminate when the 12 volt trailer socket is connected.
You haven't explained what do you mean by 'my previous'. Do you mean the caravan or car?
Was it a different car or caravan?
A bit more accurate information would help.

It is ok you will not be using any household electricity

In reality I suppose it just the same as you turning on the sidelights in your old car, only now they come on auto so the van lights will also.
Personally I have always towed with lights on.

On my Peugeot Partner Teepee I can switch off the daytime running bling LEDs on the settings menu. They can be on or off.

However, having them on does not make the caravan road lights come on.

My Discovery also permanently lights the caravan. Nothing to worry about.
