We have purchased a baileys unicorn Madrid and we are looking at the best car to tow this for a beginner can you recommend any cars to us. I am looking at a Rav4 but the match sites only recommend expierenced tower use the Rav is this so?

This is a new caravan 2017 we pick up in March the MTPLM is 1496 I got my licence in 1977. I want to spend say upto 14k and it be good for a beginner.
I guess I am looking at a Rav4 but it doesn't have to be that any car that will tow the caravan for a beginner and this seems really difficult to find

Put your details in here, and just pick the tow cars you think you like to have.
Gives you a guide to whats going to be good or bad for a outfit.
Then when you find a few you like and know can handle the van, ask around for feed back.

To get around the magic 85% you need a car with a kerb weight around 1750.

Cars that come to mind without thinking too hard: S Max, Galaxy, Sorrento, Santa Fe, Kuga, Korando. Some of the Rav 4 range are probably ok depending on the model you are thinking of.

Have a look at Tow Car of the Year competitions, you'll find facts and figures as well as road tests etc.
