Have just bought an 04 plate xtrail with 2 x 7 pin sockets on attempting to change them to 13 pin it appears the wiring is 'vehicle specific' with differing coloured wired to standard

Has anybody a diagram showing these wires and which goes where?

If you want to wire both cables into a 13pin socket then you can work it out from this.

Thanks Opensauce but the x trail has specific wiring so has totally different colours i.e. 3 wires are coloured brown and white

It doesen't matter what colour the wires are you can still work out the positions from the diagram. For example. Whatever colour wire is connected to no4 pole on 12n connects to no4 pole on 13pin & so on.

Pink.....................................................Stop lights
Green/Black...........................................LH Indicator
Green/Yellow (same thickness as above).....RH Indicator
Black....................................................Earth (not proved as I used chassis)
Blue/Orange...........................................Rear Fog light


Yellow/narrow Green with 2 silver bands......Reversing lights
