Hi Everyone,

I'm looking to get a wee bit of manoeuvring practice with my caravan- I have a 1996 license so don't need to get the B+E test.
I'm up in Aberdeenshire is it's a big trail to get to the CC towing sessions and the local companies tend to charge loads and it includes a test.
All I'm looking for is some pointers and advice.
My former other half did all the towing and since I'm on my own I just need a bit of a thumbs up!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

get someone to go with you that can tow, and find your nearest industrial estate, go on a weekend when its a bit quieter and get them to drive you there, then you can practise your reversing, and then drive you both home after! nothing hard to it at all, just allow a bit more room on bends and a bit longer distances for braking, and remember mirror mirror mirror before you do anything

Thank you that's a good idea, I did all the hitching up checks before but it's the actual driving I'm nervous about..
just need to find someone who can tow..... well

Why not post a request on this site asking if an experienced tower in your local area would be prepared to give you some basic tuition. You never know your luck.
