Hello, My BMW X3 lease is coming to an end and having BMW's for the last 12 years I'm looking to see what's on the market. I do like the discovery sport and this should tow our soon to arrive Sterling Eccles 565. Has anyone swapped from BMW to LR and if so what's your honest opinions. All the BMW cars I have had have been brilliant for towing.
My mate swapped from a x5 to a Range Rover sport, he actually cringes when he says his Range Rover is boring, it cost him around 80k with all the toys and he says it's a stunning car but just boring to drive
He's actually just ordered a m1 for his wife, but I think she'll be using the rr going forward and he'll use the m1
My advice: try one. Both cars are competent towcars, so you just need to see which you prefer — that's a personal decision. Get an extended test drive of both and go with your gut feel (taking finances etc into account also!).

That is good, although in 7 seat configuration there does not appear to be much room for cargo when touring. I have always been impressed with their styling ever since I first saw one on the road, but for now I suppose I will just have to keep on dreaming.

Those flat bed height extenders, with the orange flashing lights, are they an option on all the Disco's ? :-)
Don,t forget that BMW bought Rover Group, including Land Rover, in 1994, gained technology that they did not have previously and then sold it on to Ford.

Only if it's a really light tank, ie 2 tonne or 3 tonne.
