Ok so I am a young driver and my first car is a 2008 1.4 seat Ibiza. Would this be ok for towing our trailer tent (500kg) I know diesel is better but cost is an issue here. I am looking to get a 2.0 diesel mondeo but that's a saving in progress. I would like to however; carry on camping and get a tow bar for my Ibiza. Any good for local trips ?

It would tow a 500kg trailer as far as you like. No more than that if unbraked trailer because unbraked tow weight is 530kg. If you get a braked trailer tent then you can go a bit more than that but not too much for a reasonable tow performance.
