Hi hubby is thinking of getting a Volvo V40 2017 diesel and just wondered if anyone tows with them and what they tow like please ? We have 2008 510/4 Bailey Ranger thank you

Kerbweight approx 1390kg?
Whats the caravan 1240kg gross laden weight?

Approx 90% of the cars laden weight, load carefully and it should be a good tow.

Which diesel is he thinking of? We towed our Ranger 460/4 with a 1.6 Focus 110bhp diesel and could have done with a bit more power on some of the hills, I expect that the 2.0 diesel would be a much better bet.

It’s the 2 litre one we currently have a seat Exeo amd he’s comfortable towing with that but just looking at upgrading the car
