Car and caravan weights are very confusing for a safe tow, to give an example:
My Compass Omega 482 is a 2 berth caravan with a very good equipment level, a large rear washroom with a large shower, toilet and big wardrobe, it has a mplm of 1,318kg so a light'ish caravan. My car has a kerbweight of 1,495kg which gives a tow ratio of 88%, engine is a 2.0TDi 136bhp with a torque of 320nm at 1,750 - 2,500rpm, with a 75kg noseweight it tows very good and is stable. The tow limit is 1,600kg
