My Octavia Estate 2.0TDi 4x4 has a mass in service (V5C) of 1,495kg which includes 95% tank of fuel and driver 75kg. My handbook only states 'unloaded weight ready for work of 1,495kg, same as the V5C. My caravan mtplm is 1,318kg works out at 88% ratio, if I go by the C&MC matching service it is 92%! With the VRS the suspension is slightly lower than standard, mine is slightly higher than standard. I get a very good stable tow with 75kg noseweight and no problems.
I was under the assumption, the car weight was unloaded , minus fuel and driver, contact skoda uk for clarification, where they will more than likely tell you not to worry.or for piece of mind go to a weigh bridge and check with you in it with a tank of fuel, given that the weight varies from model to model depending on the engine , you could be well within the capabilities for the car, especially if the diesel version

Kerb Weight
The usual definition of kerb weight is taken as a vehicle, in its ready to use condition, with all standard tools, spare
wheel, oil and a full tank of fuel. Many manufacturers, however, are now adopting EC Directive 95/48/EC which
defines kerb weight as; ‘a car, in ready to drive condition, with the fuel tank 90% full, a driver on board, weighing
68kg and luggage of 7kg’ (Slightly random allocation of weights, admittedly, but that is the current definition, for EC
purposes).
